Taranaki Secondary Schools Finals week was huge for NPGHS hockey with our 1st XI and Junior A teams both winning big!!

Congratulations to our Blue (1st XI) Hockey team who won the Taranaki Secondary Schools Premier Grade Final 2 - 0 vs Sacred Heart Girls' College on Thursday. It was a high quality game with play moving fast from end to end. Good luck for the NZSS Federation Cup top tournament in Christchurch at the end of this month.

Congratulations also go to our Red (Jnr A) Hockey team who won the Taranaki Secondary Schools Championship A Grade  Final 2 - 0 vs Taranaki Diocesan School for Girls on Tuesday night. It was a tight game with Red scoring 2 goals late in the second half.

And well done to our Purple Junior Hockey team who came second in Championship B after a tight final 0 - 1 to Sacred Heart Girls' College Junior A on Tuesday night.

Well done to all our players in all our teams - you have been a credit to the school throughout the season.  A huge Thank You to all the coaches, managers, supporters and parents for their hard work this year in creating opportunities for our students to excel.
