Netball is a popular code at NPGHS with many social and competitive teams. There are opportunities provided for players who wish to represent Taranaki and New Zealand in Netball. Junior sides play in the Taranaki Netball schoolgirl competition, generally on a Saturday morning. The Premier A1 and Senior A play in the woman’s Taranaki Netball competition. Trials take place during Term One at school in the stadium or outside courts.

Venue: Premier – Various around Taranaki and New Plymouth Satellite – Waiwhakaiho Netball Courts
Uniform: Players will be issued with a dress or skirt & top set. Some teams have jackets and players bags issued. Teams will be issued with at least 4 balls, 2 sets of bibs, first aid kit, gear bag and coaches handbook.
Players provide Underwear that is black/navy. NO visible bike shorts are to be worn under dresses. Students are encouraged to wear a navy NPGHS hoodie. These can be purchased through the Sports Department. Orders are placed during the season, notification of these orders are in the daily notices. Otherwise, students can wear a black or navy jacket to the courts.
Registration: Fees pay for affiliation to Netball NZ and Netball Taranaki, uniform replacement, equipment and administration. Subscription fees are due before the first game is played. We have a no pay, no play policy.
