Boarding Fees

Scotlands Hostel's 2025 Boarding fee is $14,550.00 pa, including GST and is reviewed annually


Included in the fee:

  • Accommodation for seven-day-a-week boarding during term time
  • All meals 
  • Access to laundry facilities (one laundry per year group).
  • Supervision and care by Hostel Supervisor Staff.
  • Supervised Prep four evenings a week.
  • Access to Hostel van for medical appointments, sporting commitments, tutoring (subject to availability) between the hours of 3.30 – 9.00pm.
  • Access to the school fitness centre and courts after school hours.


Excluded from the fee:

  • Required mattress protector, charged to each family, supplied by the hostel.
  • Boarding Bond of $1500
  • Transport to and from school/hostel, including airport shuttle and taxi.
  • Any school related costs/fees.
  • Uniform
  • Incidental fees and pocket money.
  • Hostel blanket and hoodie.

To secure this offered place, we require the following:

  • The signed Boarding Agreement which is signed by all who are financially responsible for payments.
  • Payment of the Boarding Bond of $1,500.00 and first payment (dependent on time of year enrolling).

Please note: The bond will be retained until the student leaves the hostel at the end of their time with us and is non-refundable if needed to cover costs or fees in lieu of notice.


Ministry of Education Scholarships

Families are able to apply for Ministry of Education scholarships which provide limited boarding allowances to assist students. 

Guidelines, eligibility information and application forms are available on the Ministry's website. Boarding bursaries will be credited to a student’s account.

In 2024 we have boarders from all around Taranaki, Aotearoa, and the world.
