NPGHS fields anywhere up to 13 teams each year in Basketball. There are four Junior A teams (10A, 10B, 9A, 9B) and two Senior A teams (Premier and Senior A) with all other players in the youth grade on Friday night. 

Junior A and Senior A teams all play on a weeknight in the NP Club competition.

All A teams can also decide to play in the Taranaki School league. As this is travel on a weeknight entry into this league is dependent on parent support for transport.

Venue: NP Competition is played at the TSB stadium and Youth grade played in school gyms around New Plymouth.
Uniform: All playing uniforms are provided. We encourage students to buy the school regulation hoodie.
