On November the 5th six girls and 2 staff members from Wanganui Girls College arrived visited Tuhonhono. Tiana Matthews called them in with a karanga and Whaea Te Wairemana replied. After the formalities and waiata we moved to have refreshments and a korero, introducing ourselves and the cultural groups that we are involved in. The Wanganui girls shared their journey and strengths with us also. We finished our korero with questions and answers along with ideas for strengthening the links between the two groups and schools. To conclude the visit we had a delicious lunch and quick tour at the hostel. Our girls look forward to reciprocating the visit next year.
