BRIEF SUMMARY OF INSTITUTE:
New Plymouth Girls’ High School, founded in 1885, is a highly regarded
girls’ secondary school where respect for history and traditional
values is matched by an innovative approach to teaching and learning.
At New Plymouth Girls’ High School we aim to provide the education
best suited to the needs of our students through an academic curriculum
supported by the sporting, cultural and social aspects of education.
By giving each of our students the opportunity to discover and develop
her talents in a safe, respectful environment, we prepare them to become
lifelong learners, to gain the necessary qualifications, skills and knowledge
for their future tertiary and vocational opportunities and success in
