Career advice, guidance and counselling
This career development assistance is available to all students at all levels. Careers advice is provided by all staff. Careers guidance and Careers counselling is provided by the appropriate Careers Department staff member.
Classroom subject curriculum programmes

STAR (Secondary Tertiary Alignment Resource)
STAR programmes make specific classroom based vocational education available inside and outside the normal school classroom.
The Gateway programme
The Gateway Programme provides specific vocational learning that is completed in both the classroom and workplace.
Employment Skills Core Curriculum
Employment skills teaches job seeking skills and life skills to students at years 11 and 12 with opportunity to gain unit standard credits in this subject area range.
Career information
Comprehensive career information in a range of media, encompassing jobs, job seeking and job training is available to all students from the NPGHS Careers Centre in B Block, the school library.
Youth Apprenticeship Scheme
The Youth Apprenticeship Scheme targets students for and makes apprenticeship training and associated paid work available to students while continuing other studies at school
